In this article we show you a programe that will take you throughout Athens and Delfos!

Athens – Delfos (Meteora and cruise of 1 day)
(7 days – 6 nights)

Day 1 – Athens – Arrival
At arrival, a transfer will take you to the hotel.

Day 2 – Athens
After breakfast, we will start the trip with a tour throughout Athens where we will see the main avenues, like the Panepistimiou Avenue (University).

We will visit the Syntagma square, the parliament, the monument with the unkwown soldier that we will contemplate with the colored uniforms of the Evzones security men at the entrance of the Royal Palace. The Kalimarmaro stadium, locations for the first Olympic Games of the modern age (1986), the sacred rock of Acrópolis, a pilgrimage to the cradle of the occidental civilization among other touristic spots such as the Odeon Herod Attika theatre, the Propylaea, the Parthenon, Erechtheum, caryatids and the temple of Athena Nike.

We will stop by a tower to have panoramic views on the Acropolis, which we will use to explain the monuments such as the 8 hills of Athens (Licabeto, Pnix, Filopapou, etc..), as well as the Athens city. We will observe the Olympic temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the parliament, the Zappion hall, etc. Later on, we will visit the old theatre of Dionisos.

We will come back to your hotel to have the rest of the day free.

Day 3 – Athens – Delfos – Kalambaka

We head to Delfos passing by Tebas, Livadia and Arachova.
We will visit the Apolo sanctuary, the stadium, the beautiful theatre with their incredible panoramic views over the Itea valley and its sea of olive trees that make their way to the sea. We will discover the treasures of the main Greek polis. Specially those of Athens and Sifnos. Later on we will see the Sanctuary of Athena Pronea and the famous fountain of Castalia. In the Delfos archeological museum, we will meet some of the most beautiful sculptures of Greece, such as the Charioteer of Delphi, Antinoos and Naxos sphinx.

Once we finish the archeological visits our way will take us through Central Greece until Tesalia, to the north, passing by Lamia and Larisa, to get to Kalambaka, a small town at the food of the famous rocks on which dwell the recalled Meteora monasteries. We will have dinner and sleep in our hotel in Kalambaka.

Day 4 – Kalambaka – Meteora – Termopilas – Athens

We will leave early to enjoy the awesome landscape in Meteora. Later on we will visit the Megalo Meteoro monastery (Big Meteoro), the first monastery build in the area. After that, we will visit the Agios Stefanos one, (Agios Stefanos), one of the most incredible ones.

Afterwards, we will come back to Athens passing by Trikala, Lamia, Termopilas and Kamena Vourla. We will make a stop at the pass at Thermopiles, famous for Leonides and its 300 spartans, to visit the monument of Leonides of Sparta.

We will spend the night in Athens.

NOTE: Appropriate dress is required to visit the monasteries. Fot women, long skirts, covered shoulders and long trousers for men.

Day 5 – Athens – Cruise through 3 islands

After breakfast we will head to the harbour, to go to the one cruise day. We will head to Hydra island, while we enjoy the Aegean Sea. We will visit Poros island but just before, we will eat an amazing Greek lunch on board. Once in the island, we will discover it deeply. From Poros island we will go to Egina, where, from the boat, we will enjoy the sunset over the Peloponnese. After visiting the island we will come back to Athens, where we will sleep.

Day 6 – Athens
Free day to enjoy the city freely.

Day 7 – Come back
Transfer to the airport to fly back home.
